Assembly Lead

Hexagon Agility Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Assembly Lead to join our dynamic team located in Salisbury, NC, United States. We are looking for an exceptional individual who can successfully implement our installation processes and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all safety requirements are met throughout the production day, including reporting of incidents
  • Helps supervisor to ensure schedule is obtained by ensuring all parts are present to begin orders Also reports out any missing/damaged parts needed or inventory discrepancies
  • Reads blueprints and engineering specifications to plan priority of shop orders and can train other associates to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Performs in process inspections on certain parts/processes based on the quality control plan of that part number
  • Ensure associates are meeting cycle time and working efficiently
  • Performs 5S audits in their respected areas to maintain housekeeping
  • Reports out any downtime to supervisor
  • Trains Production Associates on how to obtain a 0-defect culture in quality DPPM and ensures standards are met daily
  • Helps create standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Apply basic mechanical skills to necessary jobs.
  • Back-up for machines/stations when employees are on vacation or out sick
  • Conduct start-of-shift team huddle
  • Communicate with other leads, supervisors, and managers
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed by Supervisor

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule
  • Candidates should have 1-year related mechanical assembly experience
  • Must have a very good understanding of fastening systems, torque tools, measurements tools and other inspection equipment.
  • Must have experience with high pressure testing, (assembly leads only)
  • Must have previous experience/ability to read engineering drawings
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to receive feedback and give feedback in respectful ways
  • Must know Hexagon Agility safety values
  • Must show understanding of Hexagon Agility commitments/policies in Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to operate forklift and crane safely
  • Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment
