Operations Director, driving the energy transformation

Our Production Operations Team plays an important role in driving that transformation.

Hexagon Agility, a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions, is driving the energy transformation in the transport sector. Our technology enables hard to decarbonize segments – such as trucks and buses – to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives.

Job Summary: Responsible for Production and Production Planning, Shipping and Receiving, Equipment Maintenance and Calibration, and Facilities. Ensure that products are manufactured in a timely and cost-effective manner and meet all required specifications. Lead strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the operation. Interact regularly with executive team to ensure that company’s operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct the Production Departments to ensure that all operational systems are continuously evaluated for proper operation, relevance and utilization.
  • Responsible for managing the capital expenditure program.
  • Assist and help coordinate the implementation of new production processes, systems, and products.
  • Ensure that company is migrated toward technology offerings that will generate higher efficiency, enhanced reporting and tracking capabilities, and substantial ROI (Return on Investment).
  • Manage cost-reduction activities to optimize margins. Implement manufacturing strategies and programs to reduce costs.
  • Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency.
  • Oversee quality functions to ensure that the company’s products exceed quality standards.
  • Manage the establishment of and adherence to quality standards and lead compliance in ISO and other certifications.
  • Undertake other assignments as directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong budget control and project management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

Credentials and Experience

  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering is required. A graduate degree in Engineering or Business is preferred. Commensurate combination of education and skill may be accepted.
  • A minimum of 15-years of management or supervisory experience in an automotive or aerospace manufacturing operation.
  • Experience in systems geared towards managing the supply chain, manufacturing, sales/marketing, engineering and customer service.
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 9000, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.

Other Skills/Abilities or Special Requirements

  • Strong cross-functional and broad-based business background.
  • Ability to easily establish credibility with corporate staff, customers, suppliers, and technology providers.
